Job Summary
As an Anesthesia Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting the anesthesia team in providing safe and effective patient care during surgical procedures. You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment, monitoring patients' vital signs, and ensuring the smooth operation of the anesthesia department.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment, including checking and calibrating machines, ensuring proper functioning, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
• Assist the anesthesia team in the induction, maintenance, and emergence phases of anesthesia administration.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation, during surgical procedures.
• Ensure the availability of necessary supplies and medications for anesthesia administration.
• Assist in the positioning and transferring of patients to and from the operating room.
• Clean and sterilize anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of anesthesia procedures and patient records.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth operation of the anesthesia department.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Anesthesia Technician program.
• Prior experience working as an Anesthesia Technician is preferred.
• Knowledge of anesthesia equipment and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
