Job Description
Job Summary: We are looking for a professional preferably a Chartered Accountant (1st attempt only), B. Com. and B. Tech, who has worked either in any of the Big 4 firms, in Due Diligence / Valuation Space with experience of ~1-2 years. The person would assist the senior management team in evaluating investment opportunities including industry research, financial modelling, business due-diligence, preparation of internal investment notes/ deal analysis dockets as well as assist in monitoring of portfolio companies. The person would be an integral part of the deal team and get an exposure/ experience across the private equity domain.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare financials models an analysis of potential investment opportunities
• Perform due diligence on companies and support the investment process.
• Assist in all operational aspects of the investment portfolio, including ensuring timely and error free monthly and quarterly MIS information from other portfolio companies
• Help in all aspects of fund administration
• Assist the team for Investor relations reporting requirements: monthly newsletters, quarterly updates and annual valuations of the portfolio companies by a big 4 accounting firm
• Identify new investment opportunities
• Help in fostering a positive team-oriented culture that will continue to attract and retain top talent in the organisation
• Any other work/ project as and when required
Educational specifications: CA (1st attempt only), B.Com, B.Tech
Person Specifications
Experience:
· Worked in any Big 4 firms in Due Diligence / Valuation Space with approx. 1-2 years’ experience
· Conversant with investment analysis and business due diligence
· Well versed with financial modelling and valuation techniques
Other Skills
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills
· Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint, Accounting aspects and strong financial modeling skills
· Should be able to work collaboratively with the team
· Should possess strong oral and written communication skills with an ability to listen to and comprehend information
