About Company:
We are a boutique investment bank and work across sectors to raise capital for young companies. We work extensively with angel investors and PE/VC ecosystem. We have closed deals in sectors like fintech, consumer, entertainments, etc. Currently, we are running very interesting deals in multiple sectors.
About the Internship:
Key responsibilities:
1. Work on investment analysis - supporting the due diligence process to analyze investment opportunities, entailing evaluating business plans & financial statements, interacting with founders as well as industry experts to understand the business in-depth, articulating and presenting the thesis
2. Develop sector insights - mapping the sector of focus, understanding and prioritizing various business models, keeping track of key developments, and identifying potential investment opportunities
3. Work on transaction execution - working on live transactions with senior management and independently handling clients, including interaction with founding teams
4. Work on transaction collaterals - prepare pitch books, industry overview, detailed company profiles, management biographies, the evolution of industry/peers valuation multiples, detailed financial models
5. Work on transaction analysis - working on comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, industry research, company/M&A screening
6. Manage investor relationships - independently connect with the investor community and develop long-term working relationships to showcase relevant opportunities
1. Strong interest in investment banking and strategic advisory
2. Strong academic background and financial knowledge (accounting, corporate finance, and company valuation)
3. Strong analytical skills
4. Ability to storyboard and present business models in pitch decks
5. Technical bent of mind
6. Awareness & curiosity of technology innovations vis-à-vis architecture & business models
7. Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to contribute your own ideas and work autonomously in a small team
8. Proficiency in the use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
+. Capability to work under pressure and in the context of shifting priorities
10. Impeccable communication and presentation skills (verbal and written), attention to detail
11. Education - MBA from a good institute/chartered accountant/engineering graduate (preferably ECE/IT/CS streams) with CFA or equivalent certifications
12. 0-2 years of work experience
