Job Summary:
The Admission Counsellor is responsible for handling inquiries, guiding prospective students and parents regarding courses, admission procedures, eligibility, and campus facilities. They support the admissions team in achieving student enrollment targets through effective communication, follow-up, and counselling.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Counselling:
Provide detailed and accurate information to students and parents about programs, eligibility, fees, admission process, scholarships, and career opportunities.
Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions in person, via phone, email, or virtual platforms.
Help students choose suitable courses based on their interests, aptitude, and academic background.
Lead Management Follow-Up:
Respond to all incoming admission inquiries from various platforms (website, walk-ins, calls, email, social media).
Maintain a strong follow-up system to convert inquiries into admissions.
Regularly update and manage the CRM/admission database.
Admission Process Support:
Guide students through the application process, documentation, entrance tests (if applicable), and interview scheduling.
Ensure timely collection and verification of all required documents and fee payments.
Collaboration:
Coordinate with academic departments, marketing, and finance teams for smooth admission operations.
Maintain updated knowledge about course structures, faculty, placement, and industry trends.
Reporting Feedback:
Prepare daily/weekly reports on inquiry status, follow-ups, and conversions.
Required Skills:
1–3 years of experience in student counselling, academic advising, or sales.
Strong verbal and written communication skills (English regional languages).
Proficiency in MS Office.
Good interpersonal, persuasive, and problem-solving skills.
Passionate about student development and education.
