Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Administrative Officer to join the team at Ward 23 (Mental Health)



About Mental Health Division:

Northern Health is the third largest mental health service in Victoria Northern.

Within the Mental Health Division, we pride ourselves on providing high quality mental health services to people living in the northern regions of Melbourne, and work in a collaborative way with consumers and carers based on recovery principles.

We aim to provide strong clinical leadership to support all staff in the provision of professional treatment and care by our integrated community teams, inpatient, and residential services.

About the Role:

The Administrative Officer role based on Ward 23 at The Northern Hospital located in Epping, working in a full time ongoing role.

You will be responsible for performing administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the ward, support the multidisciplinary team and contribute to the overall operations of Northern Area Mental Health Service.

The purpose of this role is to deliver a professional and caring customer focussed service, often as the first point of contact and communication for consumers, their families and visitors.

This position is responsible for:

All ins and out of administration tasks
Ordering stationary for the unit
Coordinating iPM movements for the unit
Ensuring legal documentation is correctly entered into CMI
Supporting other administrative tasks as directed by the program manager

To be successful in this role you will have:

Experience and good working knowledge of all administrative systems, including iPM
Proven ability to manage your time and balance competing priorities
Demonstrated capacity to work autonomously
Well-developed communication skills
