Hours of Work: Part Time, Monday to Friday (9am-2pm)

Tempel is America’s largest manufacturer of magnetic laminations for the motor and transformer industry, dating back to 1945. With manufacturing facilities in Chicago, Canada, Mexico, China, and India we continue to be a fast-growing industrial manufacturer providing a full range of highly efficient transformer components. Our facility in Burlington Ontario has been in operation since 1975.

Our primary products out of this location are Wound Distributed Gap Cores, Mitre and Butt Lap Laminations, Logs and Fully Assembled Cores, Steel Sales, Custom Slitting and warehousing for Tempel Steel’s Laminations.

Position Summary

The Administrative Assistant/Receptionist provides administrative, clerical, and front-office support for management and operational teams, and assisting with various office administration activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administrative Support

Assist Human Resources:
Prepare new hire onboarding packages
Enter hourly new hires into the HRIS
Prepare employee benefits packages
Scanning documents
Arrange bereavement gifts, baby gifts & employee gift cards
Co-ordinate hourly shift lunch days
Schedule interviews
Assist with management presentations and meeting slide preparation.
Process and track employee expense submissions through Dynamics (and Fusion upon implementation).
Submit and maintain FSM new vendor and employee information.
Reception & Office Coordination

Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors and incoming inquiries.
Monitor and track coffee supplies and boardroom inventory.
Assist in maintaining an organized and professional office environment.
Data Entry & Reporting

Perform DG work order data entry and Overbuild Snapshot data entry.
Maintain and update the Utility Tracker.
Concur administrator
Ensure accurate and timely reporting and record maintenance.
Accounts Payable Support

Audit and submit invoices for designated vendors and service providers, including:
Verify invoice accuracy and ensure timely processing and submission.
Qualifications

High school diploma or post-secondary education in Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in an administrative assistant, receptionist, or office coordinator role.
Previous Human Resources experience.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Experience with Dynamics, Fusion, or other ERP systems is considered an asset.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record management.
