Maintenance Administration Assistant

Darwin

About the opportunity

Airbus Australia has an opportunity for an Administration Assistant to join our Aircraft Maintenance team in Darwin.

This role is based on Robertson Barracks and is required to work onsite 100% of the time to support the on base workforce.

About the role

Reporting to the Manager Darwin Maintenance, you will be responsible for onsite support to the ARH workforce as directed by the Manager Darwin Maintenance and Darwin Site Manager.

In this role, you will be responsible for administrative and personnel support as well as activity coordination to the Darwin workforce.

The position assists with local security arrangements including access control and escorting all visitors to the site, event planning for on and offsite venues, direct personnel support for policy and process guidance to meet administrative deadlines.

Future support to internal business functions will be included with experience

Some of your day-to-day responsibilities include:

Assist with data entry for the Darwin security register to meet Defence and Airbus requirements
Sign in and manage visitors to the site for Base and Regiment security arrangements
Assist the Site manager with Ethics and Compliance activities
Assist and support maintenance and warehouse personnel with understanding of administrative requirements
About you

To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in a busy team environment, have well developed relationship building skills and expectation management skills as well as good verbal and written skills.

You will need to be someone who is able to work to deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment.

This role would be suitable to someone who has 1-2 years of experience in an administration role, and is willing to learn.

The skills and experience best suited to this role include:

Satisfactory completion of high school
Australian Citizenship (Mandatory due to Security Clearance requirements)
Own car and drivers' licence
Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft products and email systems
Demonstrated ability to work in various environments
Self-confidence and can communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively
It would be desirable that you also have:

Experience with data entry
