Job Description
Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.
Our partner school in New Orleans, Louisianais looking to find afull-time Adaptive P.E. (APE) Teacherfor the current school year to support our Special Educationstudents. We are looking for knowledgeable and compassionate candidate to join our team for the full school year!
Position Details:
Current School Year: ASAP - May 2026
Full-Time: up to 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: $30 - $50 per hour, depending on previous experience
Caseload: early childhood, additional details will be discussed and provided during the interview process
Adapt physical education curriculum to meet the needs of students with varying disabilities.
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
Provide direct instruction in fitness, health, and wellness tailored to the abilities of each student.
Requirements:
Must hold current and validLouisiana teaching certificate
Must include a Health & Physical Education endorsement AND the21 semester hours in courses required.
Previous experiencepreferred, but not required
