About the position
The purpose of this position is to support the Finance team with core Accounts Receivable reconciliation and credit control activities.
Key responsibilities
Allocation and receipting of customer payments for all accounts
Telephone and email follow up of all overdue amounts. Amounts under dispute or
beyond 60 days are escalated to the Senior Credit Controller for action.
Customer accounts are allocated between this position and the Senior Credit
Controller according to complexity of transactions.
Promotional spend management is a significant part of the role. Reconciliations of
outstanding claims must be completed on an accurate and timely basis.
Sole responsibility for the processing of refunds in Pronto accounting package and
Online portal.
Setting Up new Customer Accounts in accordance with company credit policies and
compliance requirements.
What you’ll bring
Min 3 - 5yrs, experience in an AR Officer role, preferably within the FMCG
environment
Experience working with major retailers and administering a high volume of
promotional activity claims – Highly desirable.
Tertiary Qualification in Business/Finance – Desirable.
Proficiency in using a range of software including Pronto, is preferred.
Excellent MS Office, specifically Excel, intermediate to advanced level
