Job Title: Part-Time Accounts Payable Specialist
Company: Mitsui Seiki (USA), Inc.
Location: Franklin Lakes, NJ
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Position Summary:
Mitsui Seiki USA, a leading provider of ultra-precision machine tool solutions, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounts payable process, supporting payroll preparation, and assisting with general accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and experience with accounting systems, preferably Sage300.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and verify vendor invoices and check requests
Sort, code, and match invoices to purchase orders and receipts
Enter and upload invoices into Sage300 accounting system
Set invoices up for scheduled payment and process check runs
Track expenses and process employee expense reports
Monitor accounts to ensure payments are accurate and up to date
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies or issues
Maintain and update vendor files and payment records
Communicate with vendors to resolve inquiries and payment questions
Assist with month-end closing activities
Prepare and process biweekly payroll
Provide supporting documentation for audits and internal reviews
Qualifications:
Prior experience in accounts payable, general accounting, or bookkeeping
Familiarity with Sage300 or similar accounting software preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
Position Details:
Part-time, in-office position
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM
