Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Officer to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation. This position requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of accounts payable processes.

Responsibilities
• Manage accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices.
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist in month-end closing procedures.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies as necessary.
• Prepare and process payments to vendors in accordance with company policies.
• Utilise accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks for data entry and reporting.
• Assist with financial audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient financial operations.
• Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting processes as required.

Requirements
• Proven experience in an accounting role, preferably as an Account Officer or similar position.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software, including Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems effectively.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
