• Knowledge of Tally ERP / Tally Prime, ERP Software

Job Summary
The Accounts Assistant is responsible for supporting the Accounts Department in maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounting transactions, preparing statutory documents, and ensuring timely compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Roles & ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable
• Process supplier invoices and verify supporting documents.
• Prepare payment vouchers and maintain vendor records.
• Reconcile supplier statements.
Accounts Receivable
• Prepare customer invoices.
• Follow up on outstanding payments.
• Maintain customer ledger records.
Bank & Cash
• Record daily bank and cash transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliation.
• Maintain petty cash records.
GST & Statutory Compliance
• Assist in GST data preparation and filing.
• Maintain TDS records.
• Support statutory audit and tax documentation.
Purchase & Sales Accounting
• Verify purchase orders, GRNs, and invoices.
• Record sales transactions accurately.
• Coordinate with Stores and Purchase departments.
Payroll Support
• Assist in salary processing.
• Maintain employee reimbursement records.
• Support PF, ESI, and Professional Tax documentation.
Financial Records
• Maintain vouchers and accounting files.
• Prepare monthly expense reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
ERP & Documentation
• Update accounting transactions in ERP/Tally.
• Maintain digital and physical records.
• Ensure proper filing of financial documents.
Coordination
• Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, HR, and Sales departments.
• Assist auditors and management by providing required financial information.
Required Skills
• Strong accounting knowledge.
• GST, TDS, and basic taxation knowledge.
• Good MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas).
• Knowledge of Tally Prime/ERP software.
• Good communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• 100% accurate accounting entries.
• Timely processing of vendor payments.
• Zero delay in invoice posting.
• Monthly bank reconciliation completed on time.
• Accurate maintenance of GST and statutory records.
• Timely submission of reports to management.
• Proper documentation with zero missing records.
• Support successful internal and statutory audits.
