Job Description
We are a leading electrical contractor of large multi-family, mixed-use projects throughout the Bay Area. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join us in our Sunnyvale office. This is an entry-level position for someone who is efficient, takes pride in their work, and is looking to grow professionally.
Purpose:
Support the accounting department's accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure accurate and timely payment of vendors and employees.
Essential Functions:
Enter approved invoices to be paid for multiple companies – high volume
Work with purchasing to resolve invoice discrepancies
Batch total invoices for payment and obtain manager approvals
Print checks and mail according to payment schedule
Statement clearing
File paid and unpaid invoices and statements
Process accounts receivable invoices, AIA billing format
Miscellaneous duties as necessary
Potential for other responsibilities DOE
Regular attendance
Required Knowledge and Qualifications:
Efficient/accurate data entry
Detail orientated
Analytical problem solver
Good with basic math
Able to work in a team environment
Self-starter
Strong organizational skills
Proficient in Word and Excel
Construction accounting software Viewpoint for Vista a plus
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Able to maintain confidential information
