Are you an experienced Accountant looking for a new job opportunity in Vaughan, ON?

Position: Accounting Clerk
Location: Vaughan, ON
Industry: Manufacturing and distribution
Type: 1 year contract

-Do you have proven experience in accounting experience?
-Are you highly proficient with Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables and VLOOKUP)?
-Are you proficient with Sage 300?

Responsibilities
-Accurately process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding and compliance with company policies
-Prepare and execute payments through electronic transfers, cheques, and other approved methods
-Reconcile vendor statements and promptly resolve any discrepancies
-Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable records and documentation
-Communicate effectively with vendors to address inquiries and resolve issues
-Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including accruals and financial reporting
-Perform accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger (GL) tasks, and journal entries using Sage 300

Qualifications
-Proven experience with Sage 300 accounting software and strong knowledge of AP, AR, and GL processes
-Solid understanding of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy in invoice processing and financial record keeping
-Excellent communication skills for vendor management and issue resolution
-Proficiency in preparing journal entries and assisting with financial reporting
