Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join us. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing accurate financial reporting. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in various accounting software. The Accountant will play a vital role in supporting the financial health of the organisation.

Duties

Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Preparing VAT and Annual Accounts
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into financial performance.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support decision-making processes.
Mentor junior staff members, sharing knowledge of accounting practices and software usage.
Skills

Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or Capium is essential.
Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.
Experience in financial management within the financial services sector is advantageous.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate reporting and compliance.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with accounts payable processes and related documentation is preferred.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively within deadlines.
