Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial accounting and management, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support business decisions.

Duties

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with applicable standards.
Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
Conduct financial management activities including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Provide financial services support to internal teams, assisting with inquiries and resolving discrepancies.
Utilise accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft for efficient financial tracking and reporting.
Mentor junior staff members, fostering their development in accounting practices and software usage.
Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Continuously improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications

Proven experience in financial accounting or a related field.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial management principles.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Ability to mentor and guide junior team members effectively.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
