Role Description The Accountant at HR Topics will manage day-to-day financial operations, including maintaining general ledgers, processing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank and credit card statements. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, tracking payments, managing expense reports, and assisting with budgeting and cash flow monitoring. The role will support month-end and year-end close processes, generate standard financial reports, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The Accountant will collaborate with leadership to provide accurate financial data for decision-making and coordinate with external auditors or tax professionals as needed. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ratnagiri.
Qualifications
• Strong proficiency in core accounting functions, including bookkeeping, general ledger management, and reconciliation of accounts.
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
• Working knowledge of accounting software and productivity tools (e.g., Excel, accounting ERPs) and ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Understanding of relevant accounting standards, taxation basics, and compliance requirements for small businesses.
• Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills to manage multiple financial tasks and deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to work on-site in Ratnagiri, collaborate with a small team, and operate with integrity and discretion in handling sensitive data.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CPA or equivalent) are an advantage.
• Prior experience in a small business or professional services environment, especially in HR or training-focused organizations, is beneficial
