About Company:
Guruji Astro is an online platform for astrology and Kundli predictions from the best astrologers in India. Users can talk to astrologers on call or live chat. They can also opt for a complete annual astrological report or post a question on astrology. Astrology questions could be on any subject, from marriage and love life to career or health.
About the Internship:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our accounting team as an accountant. As an accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, and supporting various accounting activities within our organization.
Key responsibilities:
1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, and expense reports
2. Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
3. Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts
4. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies
5. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
6. Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and accruals
7. Assist in the coordination of audits, both internal and external, by providing necessary documentation and explanations
8. Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
+. Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance, operations, and procurement, to gather financial data and provide analysis
11. Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices
12. Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives within the accounting department
13. Handle ad-hoc accounting projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Skills & Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
2. 0-2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
4. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
5. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
6. Strong organizational and time management abilities
7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills
8. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
+. Knowledge of relevant accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) is a plus
10. Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are an advantage but not required
