Are you an experienced accountant looking for your next firm? Want to build relationships with small business owners and help to manage their accounting needs?
Look no further.
Working for this mid-size, well respected accountancy firm as a Client Manager, you’ll form trusting relationships with a portfolio of inspiring small business clients and ensure that their every accounting need is anticipated and provided for.
Salary – From £36,000, negotiable DOE
Location – Waterlooville (Hybrid Occasionally)
Role Type – Permanent / Full Time / Mon-Fri / +-5 Mon-Thu / +-4 Fridays
Benefits – 20 Days Holiday (increasing with service) + BH, Pension, Medical Cover options, 3 Days additional holiday over Xmas shutdown + more.
The Role
You will manage and prepare accounts and tax returns for diverse clients including Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies. Your responsibilities also include onboarding new clients, integrating them into your portfolio, and transitioning them to the appropriate department.
The role will also see you assess and advise on tax positions, ensuring tax efficiency, and handle book-keeping, VAT returns, and CIS tasks. Additionally, you will maintain internal and client records electronically, provide advisory services, and liaise with HM Revenue & Customs to resolve queries.
You’ll also participate in networking, year-end meetings, and client fee reviews. You’ll need experience in a fast-paced accountancy environment, familiarity with accounting software like Xero, Quickbooks, and a solid understanding of tax laws. Membership to a relevant professional body is also required to be considered.
