Overview
The Account Receivable Executive plays a crucial role in the financial health of the organization by managing the accounts receivable process. In this position, the individual is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, monitoring outstanding balances, and actively pursuing collections. The role requires a detail-oriented and organized professional who can effectively communicate with both internal teams and clients to resolve any billing discrepancies and ensure prompt payment.
Key Responsibilities
• Generate and send out invoices
• Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities
• Follow up on, collect, and allocate payments
• Prepare aging reports and reconcile customer accounts
• Negotiate payment plans with delinquent customers
• Resolve billing disputes and discrepancies
• Provide regular updates on accounts receivable aging to management
• Process credit card payments and maintain records
• Update and maintain accurate customer files and records
• Communicate with customers via phone, email, or in-person to facilitate collections
• Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to resolve outstanding issues
• Assist in financial audits and month-end closing processes
• Manage billing inquiries and provide high-quality customer service
• Identify process improvements to streamline the accounts receivable function
• Adhere to company policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proven work experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or similar role
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Understanding of billing procedures and collection techniques
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
• Problem-solving and negotiation abilities
• Experience with financial reporting and reconciliation
• Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus
• Ability to work well within a team environment
• Customer-oriented mindset and dedication to providing exceptional service
• Proactive and results-driven approach to accounts receivable management
