Freelance Handbags & Lifestyle Accessories Designer for MAYU:
Project Duration: July–September 2026 (Freelance / Contract)

MAYU is looking for a talented freelance Handbags & Lifestyle Accessories Designer to collaborate on the design and development of our upcoming collection, launching in early September .
Our new collection will explore the intersection of luxury craftsmanship and material innovation, featuring fish leather alongside other next-generation sustainable leather alternatives. Design a capsule collection of handbags and lifestyle accessories
Create detailed design sketches and technical drawings
Collaborate closely with our founder and manufacturing partners during product development
Help build a cohesive collection aligned with MAYU's premium brand visionExperience designing handbags, leather goods, or lifestyle accessories
A strong portfolio demonstrating contemporary, premium product design
Knowledge of bag construction, materials, hardware, and manufacturing processes
Experience preparing production-ready tech packs
Strong understanding of luxury aesthetics, functionality, and user experience
Bonus if you have experience with:
Fish leather, bio-based materials, vegan leather, or other sustainable materials
Luxury fashion or accessories brands
Product development from concept to production

Collection concepts and mood boards
Design sketches and renderings
Production-ready tech packs
Support through sampling and design refinements
