Aboriginal Tertiary Scholarship Program
This program aims to provide financial support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students pursuing their studies at an accredited institution.
There are three levels of scholarship available:
Major - $30,000 x 2
Mid - $20,000 x 1
Minor - $10,000 x 2
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Residency - Have resided in Victoria on a full-time basis for a minimum of 3 years immediately preceding application submission.
Aboriginality - Be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person accepted by the Aboriginal community as such.
Study Requirements - Be undertaking full-time studies at an accredited education institution and either have successfully completed the first year of an undergraduate degree course or have successfully entered a postgraduate course.
Applicants will be assessed on their level of engagement with the Aboriginal community, motivations for studying, and past academic results.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks and maintain passing grades throughout their studies.
