Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5 Tonne day driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely across designated routes, ensuring timely and professional service. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and logistics to contribute to a dynamic organisation. Pay is monthly at £13.00 per hour 173.33 hours at basic (Always made) then time and a half.
Duties
Operate a 7.5 Tonne vehicle to deliver goods to various locations in a safe and compliant manner
Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring punctuality and customer satisfaction
Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or issues promptly
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon completion of deliveries
Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies at all times
Assist with general vehicle maintenance tasks as required
Skills
Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with 7.5 Tonne vehicles
Knowledge of flatbed operations and securing loads effectively
Strong driving skills with a clean driving licence suitable for commercial vehicles
Delivery driver experience is highly desirable
Excellent organisational skills to plan routes efficiently and manage time effectively
Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
Ability to work independently whilst maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism
