Job Description
Organization: Venu Eye Institute & Research Centre
Department: Administration / Transport
Designation: Heavy Vehicle Driver
Key Responsibilities
• Drive hospital heavy vehicles safely as per the assigned duty roster.
• Follow rotational shifts as per the hospital duty schedule.
• Perform 2–3 night duties per month as assigned in the duty roster.
• Transport patients, staff, doctors, medical materials and other hospital items as assigned.
• Check the vehicle before duty, including brakes, tyres, lights, fuel, engine oil and other basic safety items.
• Keep the vehicle clean and in good condition.
• Follow all traffic rules and hospital safety instructions.
• Maintain the vehicle logbook and record trips, fuel and other required details.
• Report any vehicle fault, accident, damage or maintenance requirement immediately.
• Maintain all required vehicle documents.
• Follow hospital dress code and maintain proper personal hygiene.
• Complete HR punching and attendance regularly.
• Perform other transport-related duties assigned by the Administration.
Mandatory Documents & Requirements
• Valid Heavy Vehicle / Heavy Motor Vehicle Driving Licence
• Police Verification Certificate
• Health Fitness Certificate
• Minimum 3 years of relevant heavy vehicle driving experience.
• Good knowledge of traffic rules and road safety.
• Physically fit for rotational and night duties.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
