Yardi Report Developer
Job Description
Location: Remote, Philippines Type: Full-time employee Hours: Core overlap 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM ET (9:00 PM – 1:00 AM PHT), balance of day flexible
The role
We are hiring a Yardi Report Developer to build and maintain custom reporting out of Yardi Voyager. You will write SQL against the Voyager database, package reports as YSR files that users can run inside Voyager, and build the extract queries that move rent roll, general ledger, lease, and occupancy data out of Yardi on a scheduled basis.
What you will do
Write and tune T-SQL against the Yardi Voyager 7S database: rent roll, GL detail and summary, AR aging, lease schedules, CAM recovery, budget-to-actual, occupancy history.
Package custom reports as YSR files with correct parameter blocks and deploy them into live Voyager environments.
Build and monitor scheduled extract queries pulling data out of Yardi, including incremental logic and change detection.
Reconcile every report you build against Yardi's native standard reports before it ships. If a number is off by a dollar, you find the dollar.
Debug data problems at the source: hidden units, model units flagged wrong, charges posted to the wrong period, leases with no end date, attribute-based analytics configured inconsistently across properties.
Document what you build. Every report gets a written definition of its filters, its date logic, and which Yardi report it ties to.
Work directly with accounting and asset management stakeholders on requirements, and with Yardi administrators to resolve access or source-side issues.
What success looks like
Required
2 to 5 years writing SQL for reporting, with at least 2 of those years against the Yardi Voyager database.
Strong T-SQL: joins across large tables, window functions, CTEs, aggregation, date logic, query tuning against execution plans.
Working knowledge of the Yardi Voyager data model: property, unit, tenant, lease, charge, and GL table structures, and how Voyager handles periods, books, and posting.
Experience building YSR (Yardi SQL Report) files, including parameter definitions and deployment into a live Voyager environment.
Enough accounting literacy to read a P&L, a balance sheet, and a T-12, and to know when a report does not tie.
Written English strong enough to write a report spec, document your logic, and explain a variance in writing without needing a call.
Reliable home internet and a quiet workspace for the daily overlap window.
Preferred
SSRS or Power BI report development.
Depth in a Yardi module: Commercial (CAM reconciliation, escalations, recoveries), Multifamily, Affordable Housing compliance, or Advanced Budgeting and Forecasting.
Yardi Web Services, ITF import/export, or Yardi Data Connect experience.
Exposure to an ETL or orchestration tool such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or Microsoft Fabric.
Git, and the habit of version-controlling SQL.
Prior work at a Yardi implementation partner, a property management company, or a real estate owner-operator.
