Job Description
Pukeoware School is a full primary school situated in a stunning rural setting just five minutes from Waiuku.
We are seeking a collaborative, organised, and inspiring Year 7–8 Teacher for our upper primary students.
The successful applicant will have strong abilities in teaching literacy and numeracy at the upper primary levels, as well as a passion for inquiry learning.
They will value student agency and understand the impact this has on success, leadership opportunities and support our students in this field.
Their expectations of teaching and learning will be high, as are ours.
Responsibilities:
Teach English, Health and Physical Education, Learning Languages, Mathematics and Statistics, Science, Social Sciences, Technology, Te Reo Maori, The Arts to Year 7-8 students.
Value student agency and promote leadership opportunities among students.
Support and inspire students to achieve academic success.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
Current practicing certificate.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Passion for teaching and learning, particularly in upper primary levels.
