Responsibilities

Implement aseptic techniques and ensure compliance with OSHA standards to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
Monitor patient responses to treatments, documenting progress accurately in medical records while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
Lead infection control initiatives by analyzing epidemiology data, microbiology reports, and infection trends to prevent outbreaks.
Educate patients and staff on best practices for infection prevention, wound care procedures, and public health guidelines.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including physicians, physical therapists, and management—to optimize patient outcomes and streamline data collection processes.
Qualifications
Proven critical care experience with a strong background in medical-surgical nursing or acute care settings.
Experience working within assisted living facilities, hospitals, or Level I/II trauma centers is highly desirable.
Demonstrated expertise in infectious disease care, microbiology, epidemiology, and anatomy knowledge.
Proficiency in managing medical records systems (MDS), data management tools, and documentation review processes.
Strong understanding of medical terminology, patient observation techniques, and physiology fundamentals.
Leadership skills with the ability to manage care plans effectively while promoting infection control standards.
