Job Description
Summary - Job Responsibilities – Activities:
This full-time, temporary position initially (approximately 6 months full-time) working to input data but there may be an opportunity to transition into a full-time marketing role for the right candidate. Responsibilities include:
Product Listing: Accurately create new WooCommerce products.
Data Input: Populate product names, detailed descriptions, variations (from size charts that will be provided via spreadsheets), and attributes.
Image Management: Upload, rename, optimize, and add Alt Text to product images for fast loading and SEO.
Organization: Assign correct product categories, filters, and tags
Accuracy Check: Review entered data to ensure accuracy and prevent errors (e.g., wrong prices or descriptions).
SEO Optimization (a plus): Write or improve meta titles (max 60 characters) and meta descriptions (max 155160 characters).
Education - Experience:
Associate degree preferred but not required
13 years of experience in data entry or equivalent training
Experience with Google sheets and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
Experience with InDesign a plus!
Required Skills, Competencies, Authorities and Training Needs:
Experience with WordPress and WooCommerce product management.
High attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
Basic knowledge of product SEO (optimizing image names/alt text).
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
Commonly Used Tools and Platforms:
WordPress (Admin Dashboard)
WooCommerce (Product Management)
Excel / Google Sheets (Product Data Sheet)
Compensation: $22-28/hr. commensurate with experience
Physical Requirements. Any other training requirements / comments
Sitting for long periods of time
Sustained visual and mental applications and demands
