JOB DESCRIPTION
ifelse is looking for a talented WordPress creator that can serve as both a Designer and Developer. This is a unique opportunity to join the team onsite from our chennai office and work across Design, Product, Marketing, and other teams to drive core growth objectives.
The ideal candidate would have a strong design aesthetic, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for the work our team is doing. Our team will be most excited by candidates that can provide examples of prior work and an articulation of how those past projects met business objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Designing and implementing new features and functionality.
• Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture.
• Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS.
• Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.
• Work directly with Product and Marketing teams to launch experiential content, landing pages, and other web pages to drive user growth.
• Create WordPress templates and plugins based on business processes that allow the rest of the team to automate the content creation process more efficiently.
SKILL SETS
• Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.
• Experience in building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications.
• Experience in designing and developing responsive design websites.
• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
• Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers.
• Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages.
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools {{such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial}}.
• Strong understanding of Python back-end development would be an added advantage
