Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sound Engineer role based in Kolkata, focused on conference room audio and video systems. The Sound Engineer will configure, install, and maintain microphones, speakers, amplifiers, and audio processors for meeting rooms and corporate environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up AV systems for conferences, optimizing room acoustics, troubleshooting audio and video issues, and performing regular system checks to ensure high-quality sound and clear communication. The role involves collaborating with project managers, IT teams, and clients, conducting tests and adjustments during live events, documenting system settings, and providing basic user training on AV equipment. The Sound Engineer will also assist in equipment selection, support upgrades, and follow safety and quality standards during installation and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong skills in microphones and audio engineering, including setup, calibration, and signal routing.
• Candidates should possess skills in sound design and acoustics to optimize audio quality and room sound performance.
• Candidates should possess skills in audio visual (AV) systems, including integration of audio, video, and control equipment in conference rooms.
• Relevant technical education or certification in audio engineering, AV technology, or electronics is beneficial.
• Experience with conference room or corporate AV installations, live sound support, and equipment troubleshooting is preferred.
• Ability to read technical diagrams, follow installation guidelines, and document system configurations accurately.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capacity to work on-site with clients and internal teams.
• Good communication skills and the ability to manage time and multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
