Wellbeing Support Specialist

As a Student Wellbeing Manager at Newcomb Secondary College, you will be responsible for leading our wellbeing team and collaborating with other departments to provide comprehensive student support.

With a strong understanding of student wellbeing, you will develop and implement effective strategies to address the diverse needs of our students.

Key responsibilities include managing crisis situations, providing counseling services, and working closely with other school staff to create individual education support plans.

Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in addressing a range of student wellbeing needs
Understanding of common approaches, policies, programs, and research relating to student wellbeing
High level written and verbal communication skills
Interpersonal skills, including the capacity to construct positive relationships with staff, external agencies, and parents
Suitable qualifications in social work or equivalent
