Job Description
Weekend Receptionist – Permanent Part-Time
Hours: 4 hours per week
Saturday: 2 hours (9:00am-11:00am)
Sunday: 2 hours (1:00pm-3:00pm)
YMCA Taranaki is looking for a friendly, mature, and enthusiastic person to join our team as a Weekend Receptionist. You’ll be the first point of contact and the welcoming face of the YMCA, helping us create a positive experience for our members and visitors.
What You’ll Do
Greet and assist members and visitors.
Handle phone calls, bookings, and general enquiries.
Process payments and maintain accurate records.
Support the team with administrative tasks.
What We’re Looking For
Experience using accounting software (Xero preferred) – tell us about your experience in your CV or cover letter.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint experience is a bonus).
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
Experience in cash handling and EFTPOS transactions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A sense of humour and a “can-do” attitude!
