Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• The candidate will be responsible for conducting operational due diligence engagements on long only/liquid alternatives fund managers on JPM Wealth Management platform
• Due diligence review includes a systematic review of the firm's processes and overall controls, engagement in operational risk discussions with the fund managers if necessary, identifying and flagging material risk considerations and writing dispositions to convey the level of comfort with various issues
• Reviewing operational focused due diligence questionnaires across a range of Investment strategies and products
• Reviewing operating models, key fund documents, audited financial statements, operations, cybersecurity, compliance, and trading policies of fund managers as part of due diligence review
• Lead due diligence engagements, mentor new colleagues and provide peer review support to analysts
• Keeping abreast of industry trends, new investment regulations and regulatory matters that could impact long-only investment managers or due diligence procedures
Essential Skills & Experience:
• Qualified professional with more than 5 years relevant work experience
• CA/CFA, candidates pursuing CFA will be preferred
• Related experience in investment due diligence, risk advisory, consulting
• Knowledge of asset classes, financial instruments, investment strategies, investment operations and fund structures
• Able to work and think independently in an intellectually challenging environment
• Team player who thrives on performance and is open to new challenges
• Advanced proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs including Excel & PowerPoint
• Exceptional organization and analytical skills
• Strong written, presentation, and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems and to manage multiple tasks at once
• Previous investment-related role with a focus on investment operations will be a plus
