Job Description – Civil Engineer
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Civil Engineer with 3–10 years of on-site construction experience to manage and execute building construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge and be capable of independently planning, coordinating, monitoring, and delivering projects while ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion.
The selected candidate will be responsible for handling multiple construction projects across Villupuram, Cuddalore, Kanchipuram, and Thiruvallur districts, with regular site visits and effective coordination with project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare project planning, work schedules, and execution plans.
- Prepare detailed estimates, BOQ (Bill of Quantities), BOM (Bill of Materials), rate analysis, and cost estimates.
- Study and interpret architectural, structural, and working drawings.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and material requirements accurately.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, and clients.
- Supervise and guide masons, supervisors, and labour teams to ensure construction is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and estimate.
- Monitor project progress, quality, safety, manpower utilization, and material consumption.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure adherence to construction standards and best practices.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports with site photographs and documentation.
- Identify technical issues, recommend practical solutions, and ensure timely project completion.
- Coordinate and monitor multiple ongoing projects across different locations.
Requirements
- B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- 3–10 years of hands-on experience in building construction, renovation, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Project Planning & Scheduling
- Estimation & Costing
- BOQ & BOM Preparation
- Quantity Surveying
- Rate Analysis
- Construction Methodology
- Site Execution & Quality Control
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software is preferred.
- Ability to prepare technical reports and project documentation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently and monitor projects across multiple districts.
- Valid driving licence is preferred.
Salary
₹18,000 – ₹25,000 per month
Salary will be based on the candidate's experience, technical knowledge, performance, and ability to independently manage multiple construction projects.
Immediate joining preferred.
