Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Job Description
The Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for preparing and handling shipping and receiving documents, tracking and counting inventory, loading and unloading materials and finished products to and from incoming vehicles and stacking them to the assigned places in the warehouse.
Key responsibilities:
Prepare and handle shipping and receiving documents.
Loading and unloading trucks.
Track and count inventory.
Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
Pick and pull sale orders.
Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
Transport raw materials to production workstations.
Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs.
Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities.
Counts, measures, and weighs materials and products
Required Skills/Abilities:
Able to drive a forklift and use a pallet jack.
Able to use Excel and Word
Previous experience with ERP inventory software systems is a preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience working in both manufacturing and warehouse environments is preferred.
Valid certification to operate forklifts or willingness to obtain one.
Basic math and recording abilities.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient in both verbal and written communication in English.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work well on a team but be self-motivated and independent.
Physical requirements:
Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry objects.
Frequent bending and lifting required (50 pounds).
Must be able to navigate the plant and reach items both high and low.
Overtime as required
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
