Warehouse Operative (Day Shift)

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse, handling materials, managing stock, and supporting shipping and receiving activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience who are eager to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. The role involves physical activity, including heavy lifting, and requires adherence to safety standards to maintain a secure workplace.

Main Tasks of Job:

Sorting and moving freight into allocated areas
Handling freight with upmost care and attention to detail
Work in a professional and efficient manner
Ensuring compliance with H&S Procedures
General housekeeping duties

Essential Skills / Qualifications and experience:

Experience of working with a warehouse / groupage operation
Good understanding of both written and spoken English.
Desirable skills/ qualifications and experience:

Proven experience of working within a similar warehouse environment, including use of tail lifts/pallet trucks
Evidence of manual handling training.
HGV Licence / experience driving large goods vehicles
Fork-lift truck licence
Hours of Work - Approx. 40 Hours per week.

Monday to Friday - 6am to 3pm approx.

Pay: £26,436.80 per year
