Transit continues its growth with the opening of a new branch in Scarborough! A new 12,000-square-foot playground. We’re looking for an engaged leader to start this adventure with us! If you love being hands-on, leading by example, and adopting a participative leadership style, this role is perfect for you. WORK CONDITIONS:

Schedule: 40 hrs/week, day-shift.

YOUR MISSION

Before the opening, you’ll help set up the branch by:

Immersing yourself in our company culture so you can share it with your new team.
Working closely with the head office team in charge of the opening.
Participating in the hiring and training of new employees.
Handling various setup tasks such as labeling product locations, receiving and shelving merchandise, etc.
Once we’re open, your daily responsibilities will include:

Managing, prioritizing, and actively taking part in the branch’s day-to-day operations (order preparation, merchandise receiving, returns processing, etc.).
Demonstrating positive leadership in line with Transit’s vision and values, both in operations and in team management.
Inspiring and engaging your team to deliver exceptional customer service.
Overseeing human resources management (hiring, training, feedback, evaluations, scheduling, task assignment, meetings, performance follow-ups, etc.).
Ensuring the smooth operation of various systems.
Managing building maintenance (including coordination with contractors if needed).
Promoting and enforcing workplace health and safety standards.
Performing any other tasks needed to support the branch’s operations.
PROFILE SOUGHT:

College Degree or equivalent education related to operations management.
3 to 5 years of experience in team supervision and warehouse management.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Clean, comfortable, and low noise environment.
