Who are we?
Viceroy Lingerie is a well-established, bespoke business importing premium lingerie, swimwear and sleepwear to supply independent retail stores.
Our carefully selected European brands are stocked in 80+ boutiques across Australia and NZ. Our business is strictly B2B, we do not supply directly to consumers.
We are looking for the right person to work in our small but fun, high-performing team to ensure the smooth operation of our warehouse, located in Clayton South, VIC.
The role
As a small, dynamic and continuously evolving business, we are looking for someone who has a natural hands-on approach, commercial mindset, is a creative thinker and an excellent team player.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, this role provides exposure across the company and will grow as we expand (starting at 30 hours a week). Working closely with our sales team and supported by experienced warehouse staff, you will play a key role in ensuring timely, complete deliveries to and from our warehouse.
Personal qualities we are looking for will largely determine your success in this role. They include:
Meticulous attention to detail: This is critical. You must have a sharp eye for accuracy, especially when working with numbers.
Commercial mindset and resourcefulness: You should be able to see the bigger picture of the business, understanding both its overall goals and how your role contributes to achieving them.
Self-motivation and proactivity: You’ll need the ability to work independently, taking initiative without needing constant direction.
Strong time management skills: You should be adept at juggling multiple tasks while effectively prioritizing to meet deadlines.
Leadership and positive management: Ability to lead in a supportive, constructive manner.
Excellent communication skills: Clear, confident communication, both written and verbal, is essential.
Highly organized and tidy: You should be someone who can’t stand disorder, with a natural tendency to keep things neat, structured, and well-organized.
Our ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of relevant experience, demonstrating the following skills:
Solid experience in picking and packing orders in a warehouse or dispatch center, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.
Proficiency in order processing, managing backorders, and coordinating dispatch activities.
Experience working with couriers and resolving logistical challenges efficiently.
Experience in purchasing and maintaining optimal stock levels.
Familiarity with various software systems relevant to the role, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems.
Proven success in people management, with the ability to lead and motivate a small team effectively.
You must be able to:
Lift and carry boxes weighing up to 10kg.
Spend extended periods of time on your feet while performing various tasks.
Any of the following experiences and skills will be highly regarded:
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
Experience with Cin7, Zoho Desk, or Zoho CRM.
Knowledge of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) systems.
Sales experience in retail or B2B environments.
Website administration, particularly with WordPress.
Experience working in the fashion industry.
Lingerie sales or fitting experience.
Skills in social media marketing.
Your day-to-day activities will include:
Order processing: Managing the entire process from order entry to dispatch, including picking and packing.
Customer communication: Engaging with customers about their orders and other inquiries (both written and verbal).
Supplier coordination: Placing purchase orders, maintaining optimal stock levels, and ensuring timely shipments.
Logistics management: Coordinating shipments with suppliers to meet delivery deadlines for customers.
Inventory management: Receiving and reconciling shipments, ensuring accurate data in inventory systems.
Stock control: Conducting stocktakes and maintaining precise inventory records.
Team leadership: Managing a small warehouse team, scheduling shifts, and assigning daily duties.
Warehouse maintenance: Keeping the warehouse organized, tidy, and in optimal working condition at all times.
Cross-team coordination: Collaborating with the sales team to ensure alignment with the business’s short-term and long-term goals, fostering mutual support and synergy.
