Waiter

We are seeking a hard-working, energetic Waiter/Waitress to join our front of house team at Harrods, a world-renowned luxury department store.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional dining experiences for guests by ensuring impeccable service and authentic Italian cuisine.
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and preparation of restaurant facilities and equipment.
Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures regarding fire safety, hygiene, health safety, and licensing regulations.
Ensure a safe working environment by identifying potential hazards and taking corrective action.
Treat company property with care and attention.
Deliver world-class service standards that showcase the brand's excellence.
Closing and posting all checks at the end of each meal period.
Follow processes to reduce waste within the restaurant.
Adhere to cash handling procedures set in place by the company.
Maintain menus in a presentable condition that reflects the brand's excellence.
Maximize sales opportunities through excellent service and upselling techniques.
Handle customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following up to ensure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
Develop a culture of actively seeking feedback from customers on a regular basis.
Demonstrate complete and thorough menu knowledge, both food and drink.
Attend daily briefings and respond to necessary changes and updates.
Be punctual and follow absence and lateness procedures if unable to attend work as scheduled.
Support the training of new employees.
Requirements:
A minimum of one year of previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a high-end restaurant.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent organizational skills, ensuring all duties are completed in a timely manner.
Commitment to providing outstanding customer service and paying attention to detail.
Ability to follow instructions and comply with food health and safety regulations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
What We Offer:
A competitive salary of £13.10 per hour, guaranteed (with service included), plus an over-distribution of service charge and on-target earnings up to £16 per hour depending on sales levels.
