OpenTech Alliance, Inc. ("OpenTech") was founded in 2003 and is a leading technology provider to the self-storage industry. The Company delivers software-enabled solutions, including online auctions, access control systems, self-service kiosks, and call center services to self-storage operators across North America, with a growing international presence.
Headquartered in Phoenix, AZ, OpenTech supports many of the largest self-storage operators in the U.S. The Company is focused on continuing to scale its core products while strengthening internal operations and processes to support growth.
Position Summary
The Vice President of Human Resources is responsible for leading all aspects of human resources for OpenTech, with a focus on building disciplined, scalable people processes while providing practical, hands-on support to leaders and employees.
This role will balance day-to-day HR execution with select strategic initiatives, partnering closely with the CEO and leadership team to ensure the organization has the right talent, structure, and practices to support its business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead all core HR functions, including talent acquisition, onboarding, compensation and benefits, performance management, employee relations, payroll, and compliance.
• Implement hiring practices and workforce planning processes to ensure appropriate staffing levels and clear roles across the organization.
• Partner with functional leaders on organizational design and team effectiveness as the business scales.
• Design and administer compensation, incentive, and performance management programs aligned with company goals.
• Oversee employee benefits administration and serve as a resource to employees on benefit-related matters.
• Develop and implement programs to improve employee retention, engagement, and performance.
• Assess training and development needs and coordinate leadership and employee development initiatives as needed.
• Provide guidance to managers on employee relations matters.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, HR policies, and internal controls.
• Support business initiatives such as leadership hiring, organizational changes, and integration of new teams or acquisitions.
• Manage third-party HR vendors, systems, and service providers.

Experience and Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or a related field preferred.
• 8-12 years of progressive human resources experience, including leadership responsibility.
• Experience supporting a growing technology, software, or services organization.
• Hands-on experience with HR systems, processes, and infrastructure.
• Strong background in compensation and benefits administration, including budgeting and program design.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders on organizational and talent-related matters.
• Exposure to M&A, integrations, or organizational restructuring is a plus.
• Solid understanding of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices.
