You'll be supporting our dedicated Intake, Advocacy, and Legal (Generalist Integrated) teams as we work together to provide access to justice for people who need it most.



TASC is a not-for-profit community legal center with offices in Toowoomba, Ipswich, Hervey Bay, Goondiwindi, and Roma, serving marginalised and vulnerable people across rural and regional Queensland.



Whether you're a student, a recent graduate, or a seasoned professional, this is your chance to step into a rewarding role, gain hands-on experience, connect with clients, and build strong relationships in the Community Legal Centre (CLC) sector.



Responsibilities



Dependent on your skillset you may be involved in the following tasks:



Receiving and processing of Client instructions
Provide clients with confidential and free legal/advocacy advice within the areas of knowledge and or expertise
Help prepare cases by researching rights entitlements, drafting correspondence organise supporting documents
Conduct research on disability-related policies contribute to reports, policy submissions, or funding approvals
Create easy-to-read resources or guides for clients e.g. NDIS, disability rights, or complaint processes
Collaborate on advocacy or awareness campaigns targeting systemic issues that affect people with disabilities
Help collect analyse client feedback to improve service delivery
Assist with record-keeping, data entry other administrative tasks.


The successful applicant will:



demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
be available to attend the induction
have a passion for justice services to the community.


Position Specific Credentials, Qualifications, and Other Requirements



Working with Children Check - Blue Card
Disability Worker Screening Check - Yellow Card
If applicable, current certificates pertaining to individual skillsets.
