The 26th Cambridge Scouting Group is seeking volunteers to support youth-led programs for ages 5+. Part of Scouts Canada, we offer hands-on learning, outdoor adventure, and opportunities to help youth build confidence, leadership, and life skills.

About This Opportunity
We offer flexible volunteer opportunities based on your availability and interests:
Part-Time / Occasional Volunteers
• Participate in weekend camps or canoe adventures
• Help at special events and activities
• Share a skill or experience at one or more meetings
• Support behind-the-scenes roles such as treasurer, fundraising, or social media
Full-Time / Weekly Volunteers
• Help coordinate or support weekly meetings
• Work with a team to plan and deliver programming
• Attend occasional weekend camps and outdoor activities
• Mentor and support youth as they develop new skills
• Take on small leadership responsibilities within the group or section
No prior Scouting or outdoor experience is required. Training and ongoing support are provided.
Mature youth aged 14 and older are also welcome to get involved and gain valuable leadership experience.
All volunteers are required to complete the Scouts Canada screening process, including an application, references, and a police record check, to ensure a safe environment for youth.
