Role Overview
We’re seeking a talented and versatile Freelance Visual Communications Designer who can bring clarity, consistency, and creativity to our visual output. This is a remote, flexible role that involves designing marketing assets, educational visuals, presentation decks, social media creatives (for 110k+ highly engaged audience on Instagram), and more. While a background in architecture or interior design is a must—what matters most is your ability to translate complex ideas into elegant visual narratives.
Key Responsibilities
• Design Communication Materials: Create visual assets for online courses, workshop promotions, marketing campaigns, and brand communications.
• Social Media Design: Design engaging posts, stories, carousels, and reels (graphics) tailored for Instagram and other digital platforms.
• Presentation Design: Craft well-structured, visually appealing decks for internal use, workshops, and public-facing events.
• Brand Consistency: Maintain and evolve the visual identity of Designopolis across all platforms, ensuring design consistency and quality.
• Creative Collaboration: Work with our team of educators, content creators, and marketers to bring ideas to life visually.
• Info-Design & Visual Storytelling: Translate complex concepts (especially related to architecture and design) into clean, compelling visuals that enhance understanding and retention.
• Template Creation: Build easy-to-use design templates for repeated use across recurring formats like workshop slides, course visuals, etc.
Qualifications
• Architecture/Design Exposure (Mandatory) : Familiarity with the architecture and interior design industry.
• Experience: 1+ years of experience in visual design, graphic design, or communication design. Freelance, agency, or in-house experience all welcome.
• Design Tools: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) or Figma/Canva for quick turnarounds.
• Visual Thinking: Strong skills in layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
• Portfolio: A solid portfolio showcasing your work across different media, particularly in branding, digital content, and educational visuals.
• Communication: Clear communicator who can understand briefs, ask the right questions, and deliver work independently.
• Organization: Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
