Role Description This is a full-time Visa Officer role based in Jalandhar with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work-from-home flexibility. The Visa Officer will assist students with end-to-end visa processing, including documentation review, application preparation, and submission for various study destinations. The role involves counseling students and families on visa requirements, immigration rules, and timelines, while maintaining accurate records and tracking application statuses. The Visa Officer will coordinate with internal counselors and external stakeholders, respond to student inquiries, and ensure timely communication about updates or additional requirements. The position also includes maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changing visa and immigration policies and contributing to continuous improvement of visa-related processes and student experience.
Qualifications
• Strong understanding of visas and immigration issues, with experience handling student visa applications and related documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service abilities to support and guide students and families in a professional, empathetic manner.
• Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain complex visa requirements and processes in accessible language.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple applications, deadlines, and records accurately.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment from Jalandhar, collaborating with team members and students in-person and remotely.
• Prior experience in overseas education consulting, immigration services, or a related field is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; education, business, or related fields are an advantage.
• Proficiency with office software and online application portals; familiarity with English language proficiency tests and study-abroad processes is beneficial.
