Full-Time Video Editor (Short-Form Content)

First Principles Content is a content marketing company that helps founders, coaches, and businesses grow through content that actually drives business results.
We produce high-performing short-form content across industries, combining strong storytelling, psychology, editing, and strategy to create videos that people watch, save, and share.
We're looking for exceptional full-time video editors who obsess over creating videos that perform.
If you're the kind of editor who studies viral reels for fun, experiments with AI tools before everyone else, and genuinely cares about retention graphs, not just fancy transitions, we'd love to meet you.
Position:
- Remote (Full-Time)
- Salary: ₹30,000–₹50,000/month + Performance Bonuses
- Working Hours: Flexible. We care about output, ownership, and deadlines, not clocking hours.
- Long-Term Role
What You'll Do:
Your primary responsibility will be editing talking-head videos for Instagram, YouTube Shorts and TikTok.

This isn't traditional editing.
You'll transform raw footage into content that maximizes audience retention and performance.
You'll be expected to edit approximately 35–40 videos per month, ranging from 20 seconds to 3 minutes, while maintaining a consistently high quality standard.
Every Video Should Include
- Strong hooks that grab attention immediately
- Fast, intentional pacing that maximizes retention
- Purposeful cuts—not random jump cuts
- Dynamic captions
- Motion graphics and animations where relevant
- High-quality sound design
- Client provided, sourced or AI-generated B-roll, visuals or motion graphics wherever they improve storytelling
- Clean color correction and polished finishing
- A thumbnail optimized for click-through
We actively use AI in our workflow.
You should already be comfortable using AI tools to speed up production and improve quality.
Examples include generating:
- B-roll
- Animated sequences
- Motion graphics
- Background replacements
- Image generation
- Voice cleanup
- Object removal
- Other creative assets
We're far more interested in editors who know how to combine traditional editing with AI than editors who only know manual editing.
Who We're Looking For
You'll be a great fit if you:
Have experience editing high-performing talking-head content
Understand why videos go viral—not just how to edit them
Know current Instagram, Shorts and TikTok trends
Can think like a content creator, not just an editor
Are detail-oriented and execute briefs precisely
Communicate clearly and meet deadlines consistently
Can handle feedback quickly without compromising quality
Enjoy improving your craft every week
Want to grow with one company over the long term
Bonus Points If You
Use Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, or similar software
Use AI tools like Runway, Kling, Veo, Midjourney, ChatGPT, ElevenLabs, Adobe Firefly, etc.
Have edited for founders, educators, coaches or personal brands
Understand audience retention and watch-time analytics
Have experience creating viral content
Compensation
Salary: ₹30,000–₹50,000/month
Performance Bonuses
₹1,000 for every video that reaches 5× the account's follower count
₹2,500 for every video that reaches 10× the account's follower count
(Applicable only to accounts above 1000 followers)
High performers will receive regular salary revisions and greater ownership as the company grows.
