Job Description
You should know how to turn a script, voiceover, or long-form conversation into a visually compelling story using strong pacing, B-roll, sound design, motion graphics, and creative storytelling.
What You’ll Do
• Edit documentary-style YouTube videos and long-form content.
• Turn scripts and voiceovers into engaging visual stories.
• Source and use relevant B-roll, archival footage, images, screenshots, and references.
• Create motion graphics, maps, charts, text animations, and visual explainers.
• Use music and sound design to build emotion and maintain viewer attention.
• Edit podcast trailers, teasers, and promotional videos whenever required.
• Work closely with the content and research teams to maintain accuracy and storytelling quality.
• Improve videos based on audience retention and performance.
What We’re Looking For
• At least 2 years of professional video-editing experience.
• Strong experience in documentary, explainer, business, geopolitical, historical, or educational content.
• Excellent understanding of storytelling, pacing, visual hierarchy, and viewer retention.
• Strong command of Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
• Ability to work independently with scripts, voiceovers, and research material.
• Good understanding of copyright-safe footage and music sourcing.
• Strong attention to detail and openness to feedback.
