Veterinary Assistant / Receptionist
Lakeview Veterinary Clinic
Privately Owned Veterinary Practice – Calgary, Alberta
Lakeview Veterinary Clinic is a privately owned, full-service veterinary clinic conveniently located in the Lakeview community of Calgary. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and compassionate Veterinary Assistant / Receptionist to join our growing team on a full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and animals in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
Welcome clients and patients in a professional and friendly manner
Schedule appointments and manage the clinic calendar
Answer phone calls, emails, and client inquiries
Process payments and maintain accurate client records
Assist veterinarians and RVTs with patient care and restraint
Prepare examination rooms and maintain clinic cleanliness
Assist with laboratory sample preparation and processing
Assist with dental procedures
Maintain inventory and stock clinic supplies
Place pharmaceutical and supply orders
Maintain controlled drug logs and ensure compliance with ABVMA regulations
Participate in quarterly inventory counts with other team members
Provide exceptional client service and communication
Qualifications
Previous veterinary clinic experience is preferred
Veterinary Assistant certification is an asset
Strong communication and customer service skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Comfortable handling cats and dogs
Proficient with computer systems and veterinary practice software
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
