The Role
As the Venue Sales Manager you will, with specific focus on maximising revenue by promoting and selling our array of diverse Food Beverage venues and offerings. Serving as the hotel ambassador, you will build on relationships with both existing and prospective client bases, take proactive measures to ensure venue product is being sold and that spaces are utilised to their best advantage. You will stay in tune with market trends and consumer needs to ensure that Hyatt Regency Sydney remains highlighted as a destination of innovation and engaging experiences.
Responsibilities Include:
Assisted by the Director of Food and Beverage, developing the event venue sales plan to support the overall hotel revenue.
Sourcing new markets and acquiring of accounts by conducting in a range of strategic sales strategies including calls, site inspections, and entertainment in the Hotel
Liaising closely with other departments within the hotel to ensure efficient and regular communication of sales activities.
Ensuring all competitor activity, industry intelligence and market trends that may have an impact on the hotel are reported and handled in the appropriate manner.
Managing the day-to-day administration including telephone inquiries, proposals and maintenance of accounts
Our Ideal Candidate will possess:
Previous experience in Food Beverage Operations Sales
Demonstrated time management and multi-tasking capabilities
Excellent communication skills
Goal oriented and driven by targets
Proactivity and innovative approach to new projects
Strength in building and sustaining internal/external relationships
