Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional vehicle collection and delivery driver to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for safely delivering and collecting vehicles to and from customers, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining excellent communication with customers and team members. The role will require occasional travel by public transport when collecting or delivering vehicles, so the successful candidate must be comfortable travelling independently. Other duties include checking oil, water, tyres and lights on courtesy vehicles before delivery. Detailed paperwork of the existing condition of a vehicle will need to be accurately recorded and updated on the management system.

Duties
• Collection and delivery of customer and courtesy vehicles in a timely manner.
• Ensure all vehicles are handled with care, adhering to safety protocols during transit.
• Conduct routine inspections of vehicles prior to collection and delivery, accurately recording any damage or issues.
• Maintain accurate records of all collections and deliveries, including mileage and vehicle condition reports.
• Communicate effectively with the transport team and customers regarding schedules, delays or issues encountered.
• Assist with checking in vehicles to site.
• Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices at all times.
Qualifications
• A valid driving licence, held for at least 5 years, with a clean driving record.
• Experience driving different types of vehicles, including larger commercial vans.
• A good knowledge of the local roads and public transport in Croydon and surrounding areas.
• Strong customer service skills to liaise directly with customers.
• IT skills are a bonus but not essential as training on how to use our systems will be provided.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Hours
Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm. Flexibility required during busy periods.
Pay: From £29,750.00 per year
