You Are
UST is searching for a talented and proactive technician with a great attitude to learn new things. As a Validation Technician you will be working for one of our clients in the semiconductors field. This is an onsite position in Heredia.
The Opportunity
Perform testing and validation of PC platforms and subsystems.
Identify, reproduce, and triage system or OS issues.
Log, track, and follow up on bugs using standard bug tracking tools.
Support validation of platform features across hardware, drivers, firmware, and operating systems.
Work with engineering teams to debug issues and verify fixes.
This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.
What You Need
1+ years of experience of experience in the following areas:
Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
PC platform architecture and motherboard components (CPU, RAM, GPU, BIOS/UEFI).
Hardware interfaces such as PCIe, USB, USB-C, SATA, or similar technologies.
Drivers, firmware, and system power states (ACPI concepts such as S-states, C-states, D-states).
Windows OS and Linux and general system troubleshooting.
Ability to lift 25–40 lbs of equipment when required.
English and Spanish communication skills required.
Willingness to work in staggered shifts or weekends as required.
Nice to have:
Previous validation experience
Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
